Today is my 35th birthday.
It’s been a lovely day: a Barry’s Bootcamp, a massage, a steak lunch, banana bread and lots of smiles and cuddles from my baby daughter.
I’m half way to 70 years old now, which I thought would be more terrifying than it is. But actually, when I think about it, given I do the job I want to do (potentially forever) I have 35 more YEARS to get good at it.
35 years ago I was a helpless newborn infant. Canter through the early years of toddling, early childhood, into an awkward adolescence, up through clueless early twenties, and I’ve only really been at this whole adult thing for about 10 years. I now have another 3.5x that to go! And if my rate of learning keeps going, I should know a thing or two before the greys push through and the joints start fading.
I’ve got loads of time. I just need to stay in the game…
