I’m trying to get into a sauna routine for 2026.
Last week, I heard a nuts stat from Dr Rhonda Patrick on the Huberman Lab podcast (another of my Rec’s): using a sauna 4-7 times a week was shown to cut Dementia risk by 60% compared to once per week users (see here for source of the stat alongside a bunch of other positive health benefits).
60%! That’s a pretty massive change, particularly for someone (like me) with Dementia in the family medical history.
I started today and it’s not easy to last the full recommended 20 minutes, but it is just about doable. 4x a week will be a push but I’m going to try it and see what happens.
