I, Claude-ius
Yesterday I spent some time tinkering with Claude Pro.
In particular, I wanted to see how good the Notion MCP integration is. Specially, can I give Claude access to my data stored within Notion (call notes, mainly) and ask it to produce work products as a result (e.g. an investment memo).
The answer was Yes. Or to be precise, Hell Yes. It’s phenomenally good. I tested it on a deal we’re currently going deep on (so that there’s a strong body of data in Notion) and it produced a pretty excellent investment memo complete with independent web search to fact check key data.
I can now save that memo template as a Skill and have Claude apply that Skill in the same format every time I ask it for an investment memo.
I also tried asking it to summarise the quarterly performance of a portfolio company, again using call notes and board decks as the input data. Again, it worked brilliantly.
There’s still some tweaking to do, and of course the output requires a sense-check (in the same way it would if I’d asked a junior colleague to do a first draft). But I think this is the best example I’ve seen so far of a product really, actually, truly working for my workflows.
It’s exciting and I’m looking forward to building more on top of it.
