Nobody Knows
Anthropic seems to be hitting a hot streak when it comes to winning the PR game, at least within the X/Twitterverse.
Late last year, it was Google. Shortly after they released Gemini 3, the common chat was that it was “Game over for AI startups” and always obvious that Google would win (that 20/20 hindsight is a gift, hey…)
OpenAI seems to be losing ground to both, as Google nibbles at the Consumer and Anthropic takes share in Enterprise.
The truth is: nobody knows. This game will play out over the next 5, 10 and 20 years, so the short-term chatter is mostly irrelevant. The world is too wired to the take du jour and too ready to throw out prior “conviction” when the market mood shifts.
Better to keep calm and carry on making the main thing the main thing.
